Governor's Task Force on the Prevention of School Bullying
The Governor's Task Force on the Prevention of Bullying was established by executive order in February 2012.
The Minnesota Department of Human Rights was one of the organizations appointed to the Task Force on the Prevention of School Bullying. The task force examined current trends in bullying, intimidation and harassment in Minnesota schools and reviewed existing related laws and regulations. From this review and input from experts on the topic, the task force defined bullying, harassment and intimidation and then provided policy recommendations to the Governor and Legislature. The task force held meetings through July 2012 and conducted listening sessions around the state.
The task force's final report was sent to Governor Dayton on August 1, 2012.
