April is Financial Capability Month
Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed April to be Financial Capability Month in Minnesota.
In an effort led by the Department of Commerce, ten state agencies have planned outreach and education events across Minnesota for Financial Capability Month. Throughout the month, financial education training events will be held across the state to raise awareness on the need for having the skills to make well-informed financial decisions in all life stages.
The Department of Human Rights will focus on home ownership, wealth building and the challenges facing minorities and disenfranchised communities, in a series of four chatcasts hosted by Commissioner Kevin Lindsey.
