Under the Minnesota Human Rights Act, MDHR has three main duties: 

  • Investigate charges of discrimination, 
  • Ensure equal employment opportunities among state contractors 
  • Use education to reduce discrimination. 

The Minnesota Department of Human Rights offers a variety of educational materials, videos, webinars and events to encourage dialog, conciliation, and education to reduce discrimination.
