Take the First Step by Consulting with an Investigator

If you have questions about civil rights or believe you have been discriminated against, contact the Minnesota Department of Human Rights on the phone, in-person, or online. If your situation is covered by the Minnesota Human Rights Act, staff may recommend a variety of options including training, mediation, or drafting a charge of discrimination.

Call our office at 651.539.1133 (MN Relay 711 or 1.800.627.3529) or Toll Free at 1.800.657.3704. Our staff is available to take calls about discrimination complaints by phone, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You may leave a message after hours and your call will be returned.

Visit our office

Walk-in hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (By appointment only, please call to schedule). Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (No appointment needed, we take walk-ins on a first come, first served basis). Directions to our St. Paul and St. Cloud offices are available on our contact page.
