Scott Beutel

Assistant Commissioner
Scott Beutel’s work in government and nonprofits has focused on ensuring that systems in government and society do not perpetuate discrimination, disparities, and bias. 
 
He joined the Department of Human Rights in 2013, working as the agency’s Public Policy Director. Scott currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner, overseeing external relations and finance. He graduated from Reed College with a B.A. in Political Science and from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs with a Master of Public Policy degree.
