Caroline Peters is a senior at Macalester College, where she studies Spanish, Geography, and Community and Global Health. Interested in pursuing a career in immigration law, she joined MCLA to learn more about state level politics and how they impact the many communities that want to make Minnesota their home. At MCLA, she works primarily with policy regarding economic development and conducts research relevant to MCLA’s agenda and constituents. Caroline also makes maps that visualize trends across Minnesota, such as limited English proficiency and Latino voter eligibility. Upon graduating from Macalester in May, she will be moving to Colombia as a Fulbright Scholar and will work as an English teaching assistant at the university level.
