Leticia Guadarrama holds a M.Ed in Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota . She is currently working for the Department of Global Education in the Minneapolis Public Schools. In her position she supports equitable access to the district's new Global Education initiative and supports English learner students and families in accessing other MPS enriched opportunities. Mrs. Guadarrama has worked for the Minneapolis Public Schools, in a variety of roles, for over 30 years. Some examples of the many contributions she has made include her development of college readiness programming for language minority and at-risk students, development of partnerships with community and business organizations, recruiting, hiring and supporting multilingual and bilingual teachers and planning and leading many staff development workshops. She has presented nationally for several Professional Education Organizations.
In addition to serving on the Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs Mrs. Guadarrama serves on the
Minnesota Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and is a member of various Diversity and Equity Committees. She also has served as a Grant Review Panelist of the National Science Foundation.
