The Attorney General Library provides information services
and resources to support the legal, policy, and law enforcement
activities of the Office of the Attorney General.
The Attorney General Library offers a specialized collection of
legal materials for the government lawyer. We collect subject-specific
materials supporting the Office's legal efforts on behalf of Minnesota
state agencies, boards, and other public entities. We offer historical
collections of Minnesota statutes, laws, rules, and Attorney General
opinions..
Primary users are the Attorney General staff; secondary users are
other libraries and the general public.
These databases are available to walk-in users:
- Minnesota Legal Periodical Index (MLPI): index of nineteen
Minnesota legal publications.
We will provide searches for CALCO libraries in these databases:
- Westlaw
- Lexis
- ORBIT - metro-area real estate records
- CARFAX
- Chronicle of Higher Education
- Minnesota Lawyer (article archive plus Verdicts & Settlements)
Minnesota Lawyer Judicial Directory
- PACER, MNCIS, TCIS - federal and state court dockets
We have a collection of Native American legal and historical
materials, Attorney General publications, and legal periodicals.
Materials may be borrowed via interlibrary loan or by arrangement
with the staff. Copies of Attorney General opinions are available
