Alex Lussenhop

Project Coordinator (he/him)
Alexander (Alex) Lussenhop (he/him) is the Project Coordinator for the Council. He supports the development of state standards for the collection of data related to gender identity. Alex has a background in research and program evaluation and joins the Council after 14 years working in science museums. He previously worked at the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Museum of Science, Boston, where he conducted research and built systems to monitor and improve the museum visitor experience. 
 
Alex's background includes advocating for equity and inclusion in museums, such as conducting accessibility research with disability communities, creating resources to support LGBTQIA2S+ museum workers, and developing staff training focused on diversity and equity goal-setting. Alex has a B.A. in Physics from Cornell University.
