Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities - Strengthening Self Advocacy in Minnesota: Ambassadors for Respect/Anti-Bullying Program The Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is pleased to announce the availability of a total of $20,000 in federal funds under provisions of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (DD Act) (P.L. 106-402) to strengthen self advocacy in Minnesota through the Ambassadors for Respect/Anti-Bullying Program. Self advocates or transition students with disabilities, including individuals from diverse racial and ethnic communities, will take the lead in teaching and training elementary school children about self advocacy, and how to deal with and address bullying issues.
