Continuing Education

During a calendar year, a gambling manager is required to complete at least one continuing education class conducted by the Board.

  • Continuing education classes are conducted online and at locations throughout the state.
  • For traditional classes, check for specific dates and times listed below.  Length of classes may vary.  No prior registration is necessary to attend.
  • Both online courses and traditional classes are free and open to the public.

If you are planning to attend a class in person and need special accommodations due to a disability, please call 651-539-1922 two weeks in advance.

Online Continuing Education Courses

A new online continuing education course, New Statutes and Rules 2019, is now available.  In this course, you will learn about the changes made to lawful gambling statutes effective July 1, 2019, and about some significant changes to the lawful gambling rules effective July 15, 2019.  This course covers the following topics:

  • Statute changes effective July 1, 2019.
  • New rules on the conduct of sports tipboards.
  • New rules on the conduct of electronic pull-tabs and electronic linked bingo.
  • Other miscellaneous rule changes.

A PDF version of the course is also available for printing as a go-to guide.

To take an online course, select your course and then:

  • Enter your email address.  Be sure your email address is correct! If you are a currently licensed gambling manager, the email address will be used to send you a confirmation that you’ve received continuing education credit for taking the online course.  (Non-gambling managers can skip the email step.)
  • Once you’ve entered your email address, you’ll be asked to enter your name and a password.  Be sure to remember your password as you’ll use it to access this and future courses.
