Minnesota Statute 144E.28 establishes the requirements for eligibility for certification of EMT's and Paramedics.
To be eligible for certification an individual shall pass the written and psychomotor examinations approved by the Board and administered by the Board or its
designee. The Psychomotor Examination Guide
for Education Programs is the accepted guiding document for proper administration of the practical exam and must be adhered to.
The EMSRB has developed EMT and EMR Manuals for conducting the Psychomotor Exam, which include the National Registry Exam guides
Note: The guides for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) are for program reference and use, as there are no regulatory requirements for the EMR Psychomotor Examination.
