Approved Agents and Examiners

Approved Agent: (Board Decision, May 29, 2013)

EMSRB on-site approved agent for conducting the psychomotor exam on behalf of the EMSRB in accordance with National Registry exam guidelines. Note: the State Official and the Approved Agent can be the same individual.

An Approved Agent must meet the following requirements:

1. Credentialed at the level of, or higher, than the exam being conducted
2. Current CPR Certification
3. Completed a Board approved Best Practices for Psychomotor Examination Scoring Webinar and EMSRB Approved Agent Classroom Seminar

144E.286, Subd. 3.Examiner qualifications. An examiner testing EMT, AEMT, or paramedic practical skills must be certified at or above the level the examiner is testing or must be a registered nurse, physician, or physician assistant familiar with current out-of-hospital care.

Board Action:1) Qualified examiners listed on EMSRB website for access by education programs and, 2) Examiners need to complete the Best Practices for Psychomotor Examination Scoring webinar.
