Tim Held

Commissioner of Health Designee
Tim Held was appointed to the EMSRB in May 2018 as the Commissioner of Health's designee. He is the Deputy Director of the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care.  As part of his responsibilities, he supervises the State Trauma System; Federal Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program; and chairs the department's informal Center for EMS.  He currently sits on the national Joint Committee for Rural Emergency Care.  Tim has a longstanding history with EMS, in which he has served in various capacities at the private, county, regional, state and national levels. Tim is a past board member of the National Association of State EMS Officials, past Chair of the National Trauma Managers Council, and was a certified paramedic for thirty years.  He has a Masters of Public and Nonprofit Administration degree from Metropolitan State University.  His term is on-going.
