Brian Edwards of Northfield was appointed to the EMSRB in October 2019 by Gov. Tim Walz. He has been involved in EMS since 1990, and has served as a fire-fighter first responder, career and volunteer EMT and paramedic, tactical paramedic, and EMS educator. He is currently the EMS Chief for Northfield Hospital + Clinics. He is active as a crisis negotiator with a multi-agency SWAT team, as well as a principal instructor for the Southeast EMS Region Hostile Event Response Training program. His four-year term as a representative of Paramedics expires January 2023.
