Salary Range: $19.92 to $37.84 per hour; $41,593 to $79,010 per year
Compensation for the successful candidate will be commensurate with the level of education attained and number of years of prior teaching experience approved at the time of hire.

Work Locations: Positions may occur at Minnesota Correctional Facilities located in Faribault, Lino Lakes (Twin Cities Suburbs-North), Moose Lake/Willow River, Oak Park Heights, Red Wing, Rush City, St. Cloud, Shakopee, Stillwater, and Togo.
Manage special projects for the education department.
Perform all classroom administrative functions in a timely manner for accountability purposes.
Maintain a well-managed, comprehensive instructional environment.
Provide appropriate and effective direct classroom instruction to offenders including preparing, maintaining, and assessing personal education plans (PEPs) for each student. Job Duties:
* To qualify for consideration for Special Teacher, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree AND possession of a current, full-time Minnesota teaching license.
Note: Each vacancy announcement will specify the required student level and subject area of the license (e.g. ABE, K-12 Emotional Behavior Disorder, etc.)
* To qualify for consideration for Intermittent (Substitute) Special Teacher, you must have:
a) A bachelor's degree AND possession of a current full-time K-12 or ABE Minnesota Teaching License; OR
b) A bachelor's degree AND possession of a current Minnesota Short Call Substitute License.
