Salary Range: $22.70 to $33.14 per hour ($47,398 to $69,196 per year)

Work Locations: Positions may occur at Minnesota Correctional Facilities located in Faribault, Lino Lakes (Twin Cities Suburbs-North), Moose Lake/Willow River, Oak Park Heights, Red Wing, Rush City, St. Cloud, Shakopee, Stillwater, and Togo.
Job Duties: Function, with relative independence, as a behavioral health practitioner for offenders with mental illness, including the responsibility to provide security, assessment, education, and therapeutic programming.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program* AND one year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy;
Master’s degree in one of the above program areas, which included training or experience in providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy methods and practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of professional, legal, and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care.
Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills.
Interpersonal/human relations skills.
Basic personal computer skills.
Ability to formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; provide mental health treatment; and develop a continuing care plan with relative independence.
Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multi-disciplinary team; exercise sound judgement; and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.
License-eligible Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program*.
Experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy.
Experience working in a correctional/secured environment.
Experience providing services to clients diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
