Clinical Program Therapist 2 - Chemical Dependency

Salary Range: $22.70 to $33.14 per hour ($47,398 to $69,196 per year)

***Positions may be eligible for the Corrections Employee Retirement Program.***

Work Locations: Positions may occur at Minnesota Correctional Facilities located in Faribault, Lino Lakes (Twin Cities Suburbs-North), Moose Lake/Willow River, Oak Park Heights, Red Wing, Rush City, St. Cloud, Shakopee, Stillwater, and Togo.

Job Duties: With relative independence, provide substance use treatment services for inmates in a substance use disorder program, including the responsibility to provide security, assessment, education, and therapeutic programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

LICENSURE:
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure* by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11.

(*NOTE TO LICENSE-ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Please include information regarding your license-eligibility in your resume or application. To maintain employment, the successful candidate who is eligible for LADC licensure must possess a temporary ADC permit within 60 calendar days of the first day of employment and a current LADC license within the probationary period.)


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
One year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders;

OR

Master's degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of substance use treatment methods and practices.

Knowledge of professional, legal and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care.

Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills.

Interpersonal/human relations skills.

Basic personal computer skills.

Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan.

Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multi-disciplinary team; exercise sound judgment; and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program.

Current licensure in Minnesota as a LADC at time of hire.

Current Minnesota licensure as a LP, LPC, LPCC, LICSW, or LMFT.

Experience working in a correctional/secured environment

Experience treating clients with co-occurring disorders.

On year of experience providing clinical behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders.
