    We are very excited for the return of Transitions Resource Fairs at our MN Correctional Facilities!

    What is a Transitions Fair

    DOC Transitions Fairs provide an opportunity for our incarcerated population to connect 1:1 with community partners across the state of MN who offer release services and support. Community partners invited to participate include services around: housing, employment, education, healthcare, identification, and overall community support and navigation. 

    While the outline of these important events will remain similar to previous years, we will be making some adjustments to account for the many changes within facility operations over the course of the last few years, since the COVID pandemic, including:

    • Each Transitions Fair will be held in smaller groups, and will focus on each facility’s individual populations
    • Your valued participation in one facility’s Transitions Fair does not guarantee your participation in another facility’s Transitions Fair
    • Each facility Transitions Coordinator will send out an invite and application as their fair nears
    • Your application will be reviewed by the Reentry team, and forwarded to each Transitions Coordinator at your requested facilities
    • If your physical attendance cannot be accommodated, we will be providing the opportunity to display resources for organizations

    Thank you for your understanding as we work through the process of welcoming back Transitions Fairs within our Minnesota Correctional Facilities! We look forward to sharing your important work with our incarcerated populations.
