October events set for students interested in autism, related fields

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is among sponsors of upcoming events where students in a variety of human services fields can meet staff of local agencies that provide autism, children’s mental health and adult mental health services. Staff will be able to talk to students about:

  • Job and internship opportunities
  • Career paths available to students
  • Educational and vocational experiences needed to be hired in various fields
  • The importance of gaining work experience while in school.

Meet-and-greets are scheduled for:

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Garden Room in the University of Minnesota-Duluth’s Kirby Student Center,1120 Kirby Drive, Duluth.
  • 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in the Beacon Room of the University of Minnesota’s Recreation and Wellness Center, 123 SE Harvard St., Minneapolis.
