In 2015, community meetings were held across the state asking, how can we make our substance use disorder treatment system better. As a result, last summer a workgroup of providers and community members worked together on a set of policy recommendations designed to not only improve outcomes, but to also ensure program sustainability and invest scarce resources wisely. The result is the Policy Recommendations Report. We hope you can come to this meeting to review the recommendations and give us your feedback!
ADAD invites feedback regarding the MN DHS Olmstead Plan. Minnesota’s Olmstead Plan has been implemented now for over a year. The Olmstead Subcabinet has committed to an annual process to update and extend the Plan. Seeking public comment is an important part of this process. Therefore, beginning October 25, 2016 and continuing through February 7, 2017, the Subcabinet will seek feedback from the public on possible amendments to the 39 measurable goals in the Olmstead Plan.
The focus of the process is to improve the Plan by using lessons learned during the first year to identify barriers that hinder progress on the goals or changes that will improve progress on the goals. There will be three opportunities for public comment. Please visit the Participate page of the Olmstead Plan website for more information.
