Social Security Advocacy and the SOAR program

Since the 1980s, the Minnesota Department of Human Services has contracted with various agencies to help people apply for and/or maintain Social Security disability benefits. Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are the two largest Federal assistance programs that offer financial support to people with disabilities. The department and its contracted advocates do not charge a fee for these services.

Visit our online directory or call the Disability HUB at 1-866-333-2466.

Outreach brochures and business cards are available for free. To order, Email DHS.SSAadvocacy@state.mn.us, and provide your name, mailing address, and how many brochures and/or business cards you would like.
