Fingerprint and Photo Vendor Links
A list of locations in Minnesota where study subjects can be fingerprinted and photographed has links to information specific to each site, including operational status (open or closed), hours of operation, whether or not appointments are required, phone numbers and specific instructions. Before visiting a location:
- Verify the location's hours
- Check to see if an appointment is required
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of required face masks. See below for safety information
- Allow extra time for fingerprinting
The fingerprint and photo deadline for background studies submitted between Oct. 21 and Nov. 19 will be extended to Dec. 31, 2020. The extended fingerprint deadline will not show on the fingerprint authorization form unless the provider generates a new copy of the form. Study subjects are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible. Please check the Thales website for the most updated fingerprint information.
COVID-19 safety precautions
Please follow the state and federal safety precautions related to COVID-19. This includes mandatory use of face masks (State of Minnesota, Executive order 20-18) and guidance provided by the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of six feet from others. Please note that guests accompanying a study subject may be asked to wait outside while the study subject is fingerprinted.
The fingerprint vendor has instructed locations to clean fingerprinting equipment after every use and to provide hand sanitizer.
The fingerprinting fee will remain $9.10. Debit and credit card payments must be made ahead online via the Thales website. Money orders and personal checks are accepted at the fingerprint location. Cash is not accepted.
