Department of Human Services employee Ruthie Dallas works in the Community Supports Administration, specializing in women services and trauma informed care. She is the project director of the DHS Trauma Informed Care Learning Community and the Women Services lead planner for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
Dallas also serves as Minnesota’s designated Women Services Coordinator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and is a member of the National Association of State Alcohol/Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) Women Services Network (WSN).
Dallas received the 2016 Achieving Dreams Award from Avivo (formerly known as RESOURCE, Inc.), an organization with 35 sites that serves nearly 20,000 individuals and families each year with employment services, career education, and chemical and mental health services. Dallas was one of three recipients honored for her lifelong work in supporting pregnant and parenting women affected by addictions and trauma.
