What is your connection with SSB?

When I realized that I was having trouble seeing, I still wanted to do the same things. I knew that there were other people in my building who were also having trouble seeing, so I organized a group for Char to teach.

Hometown?

St. Paul. As a child I moved a lot - in fact by age 13 I had lived in 16 different places.

What do you do for fun?

If I had time, I’d really like to do more sewing. I especially love sewing quilts and dolls clothes.

What are you binge-watching right now?

The 4400.

Favorite travel destination(s)?

Wales - it's so peaceful and quiet.

Who or what inspires you?

Other people who manage to maintain humor and positivity. The good in people.

I’m working on learning to thread a needle without sight. When I do that, it will be an accomplishment.

What was the first job you ever had?

When I was 11 I babysat for an infant with my mother’s supervision. My first job outside of babysitting was as a car hop.

Any interesting jobs you’ve had throughout your career?

I had a few interesting jobs at the University of Minnesota. I worked as a receptionist in both the Communication Disorders and East Asian Studies area.

Something about you that most people don’t know?

If I told, then people would know!

My daughter coming for a visit. She is learning to be a chocolatier, and I’m assisting her at a craft show at River Center. I’m also looking forward to seeing Mary Poppins - hopefully with my daughter, too.
