Partners for Equity

The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Department of Human Services (DHS) join forces in Partners for Equity, the theme of the 5th Annual Joint Counselor Training. This Training will assist us in developing our skills and managing stress, sharing best practices, building relationships and promoting system and policy changes that make a difference. Please join us as we work to ensure that all Minnesotans have access to economic opportunity that gives hope and results in a stronger future for themselves and their families.
We expect about 600 professionals will attend this year’s collaborative two-day training scheduled for May 17-18, 2017 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota.
Call for Award Nominations
You are invited to submit an award nomination for the 5th Annual Joint Counselor Training – Partners for Equity. The award ceremony will recognize outstanding staff for their contributions and exceptional services to multiple programs with the Outstanding Employee Award. Each program listed below will have one Outstanding Employee Award awarded.
- Dislocated Worker and Trade Adjustment Assistance
- Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)/Diversionary Work Program (DWP)
- Job Service
- Veterans Employment Services
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T)
- Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Adult Program (WIOA)
- Adult Career Pathways
The award ceremony will also recognize a group of agencies, providers, community based organizations (CBOs), or organizations that have successfully come together to provide services to participants or align services with the Collaboration Award. There will be one Collaboration Award awarded.
