What's the #InnovateMN Campaign All About?

innovatemn

Minnesota is a place where good ideas are born and grow. We have a unique ecosystem that nurtures startups – helping them find the expertise and talent they need to launch – and that also supports more established companies looking to branch out in new directions.

Emerging discoveries and technologies enhance Minnesota’s economic future. #InnovateMN tells their inspirational stories. It also provides a roadmap for the financial, technical and educational resources and assistance available to Minnesotans who are looking to start or expand their business.

Celebrating emerging technologies

The State of Minnesota is committed to helping innovators and entrepreneurs thrive. The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has launched the #InnovateMN Campaign to celebrate emerging technologies and discoveries in Minnesota.

This campaign - launched in February 2017 - highlights Minnesota’s culture of innovation by sharing stories of businesses and entrepreneurs on the cutting edge. Minnesota annually ranks among the top five states in new patents and is home to leading technology businesses.

This campaign highlights the contributions of Minnesota’s innovation economy and connects the next generation of entrepreneurs to available resources. Minnesotans can share their #InnovateMN stories and contact DEED to learn about how to make their ideas become a reality.

Supporting growth of innovation economy

There are many great ideas, products and solutions being developed by budding entrepreneurs as well as established companies throughout the state. #InnovateMN is intended to uplift their ingenuity and support their growth by promoting resources and giving them exposure not only in Minnesota but around the world.

Check out DEED’s Business Resources if you need assistance bringing your good ideas to life.
