Won passage of updating the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division law, which modernized their services and increased their funding.

Successfully advocated for an additional $2 million for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division (DHHSD) for deafblind support services, mental health services in ASL and updates for equipment labs, as well as a study of how to best provide services throughout the state.

Passage of the bill to increase funds for the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans (MNCDHH) by $200K in 2014 and $500K in 2015. The total budget prior for FY13 is $365K, for FY14 is $564K and for FY15 $865K.
Conducted 12 focus groups, 21 one-on-one interviews with key community leaders, surveys and led members and staff to completion of a strategic plan.
