June 26, 2017 - The Commission of Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing Minnesotans (MNCDHH) and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division (DHHSD) were contacted by community members with several questions about the changes to DeafBlind services in the new DHHSD law. MNCDHH apologizes for not getting the information correct in our previous video.

May 1, 2017 - The State Accommodation Fund is an important program that shows that the State of Minnesota is committed to hiring people with disabilities. UPDATE: The Senate has decided to continue putting $200,000 in the fund per year BUT the bill will have agencies cover half the cost of accommodations.

Wrap up for June 30, 2011, Possible July 1st Shutdown and Some Good News
June 30, 2011 - The Minnesota state government will shut down on Friday, July 1st if the Governor and the Legislature do not agree on a balanced state budget for the next two years. Only "core" services will be available that are important for issues like health and safety. This means that MNCDHH and many other state offices, such as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) Division, will be closed. Some services will not be available to the deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing community. There is also some good news! See inside for more.
