Lobby Tuesday/Thursday

We need your help. Please join us for Lobby Tuesday/Thursday. This is different from Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing Lobby Day on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

What is Lobby Tuesday/Thursday?

Lobby Tuesday/Thursday is a new idea this year! There are many new legislators at the Capitol and most do not know a lot about deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing issues. So MNCDHH is bringing groups of community representatives every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the legislative session.

Why should I participate if I am already going to Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing Lobby Day?

This is your chance to learn more about the legislative process, meet legislators, and explain how their decisions impact your community. If you are not sure how to do it, don’t worry! Part of Lobby Tuesday/Thursday is to train you on how to meet legislators and talk about important issues. This is also your opportunity to explain why the bills that MNCDHH is pursuing or supporting is important to you.

What will I do at Lobby Tuesday/Thursday?

Lobby Tuesday/Thursday takes place between 10 am to 2 pm. We will need you there for the full time! It includes training, meeting with the legislators, and then a short debriefing to discuss your experience and how it went. MNCDHH consultants will be there to support you every step of the way.

Where do I sign up?
