Dalena Nguyen is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She graduated with a B.A. in Biology, and a B.A. in Political Science. She also minored in Public Health and Sociology. During her time at the U of M, she was an officer for the ASL club, as well as a member of the American Medical Student Association. She also worked as a childcare provider for the Adapt4U studies, and in a Zebra Fish Lab under the Neuroscience Department. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her friends and family, as well as study ASL and Vietnamese. She is also an avid baker and is happy to bake for anyone who asks!
Dalena began as an intern at the Commission and then she worked as a contractor, and now she is an employee. Dalena works on many different tasks for the commission that include, but are not limited to, creating our holiday card, helping develop the board manual and annual report, requesting accommodations, and scheduling meetings. Dalena feels passionate about MNCDHH’s goals and is happy to be a supporting player in our work.
