Chelsea earned her bachelors in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Augustana College and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with Math Certification. She has taught at South Dakota, Idaho and at Minnesota. Chelsea was a former National Association of the Deaf’s Miss Deaf America through their Youth Programs (currently called Youth Ambassadorship Program). She has presented at conferences on how to teach children who are DHH whose families are from diverse backgrounds.
Chelsea is passionate about providing access to role models to children who are DHH. She loves to raise her two young Children of Deaf Adult (CODAs) with her husband, Jared. Finding ways to support their language development is thrilling.
“I thoroughly enjoy what I do because I strongly believe in providing tools to everyone who needs to support our children who are DHH, and that requires a team approach. After all, we are the 20% of Minnesotans and we work together to achieve more.” ~ Chelsea Paulson
