AJ Herculeidez

Lobby Day Consultant

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, AJ received her bachelor degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM) in Journalism and Mass Communication. This would be the place where she would also discover her love of ASL. She would begin a career in Event Coordination, but after being laid off in 2009 while the U.S. economy was in recession, she went back to school and completed the ASL interpreting program at Saint Paul College. AJ has been working with MNCDHH since 2013.

Currently, AJ works for Stonearch Employment Solutions where she works with DeafBlind, Blind, and limited vision populations to support them in searching, acquiring, and retaining employment. Before Stonearch AJ worked for two other employment agencies where she worked with populations such as hard of hearing, D/deaf, traumatic brain injury, fetal alcohol syndrome, and personality and cognitive disabilities.

In her free time AJ likes to craft, travel, and antique. Excitingly, AJ welcomed her first daughter, Greer, with her husband Geoff in March of 2018.

"I’m proud to tell people I work with MNCDHH.  I have the opportunity to partner with some of the most skilled and passionate people to improve Minnesotans’ cultural conditions in which we all live.  They are a fundamental catalyst to creating influential change; exerting great effort to engage our community in creating equal opportunities and access for all.  It’s simply inspiring." ~ AJ Herculeidez
