Jason Valentine

Chair; At-Large Member

Jason is the School Social Worker for Pre-K to 12+ students at Metro Deaf School in St. Paul, MN. Jason is Deaf and fluent in American Sign Langauge. Jason graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.A. in Psychology ('01) and an M.A. in Social Work ('08). Jason was the chair of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division (DHHSD) advisory board for the Metro Region for 4 years. Jason was selected as a speaker for the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference in April of 2015. Jason has presented about his experiences as a Deaf person and how to work with Deaf people in an educational setting at the University of St. Thomas, as well as for the Department of Human Services. Jason is an avid disc golfer. He enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors.
