Emily attended the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Emily is the vice chair of the Minnesota EHDI (Early Hearing Detection and Intervention) Advisory Committee, which she has been involved with since November of 2008. Emily lives in beautiful rural Minnesota with her husband and two children.

"I am honored and passionate to serve on the Commission because of the work we do to ensure our community has equal access to opportunities. I have known about the Commission since I was a little girl through my mom, who was advocating for my rights. She taught me how to advocate by example, which I hope to also pass on to my children." ~ Emily Smith-Lundberg
