Boost your energy IQ at the MN State Fair

8/22/2018 3:57:18 PM

Want to add some megawatts to your energy IQ?

You'll get a power surge at the Minnesota Commerce Department's State Fair Energy Exhibit, located in the Eco Experience building on the northeast corner of the fairgrounds.

Test your energy smarts with the Climate in Jeopardy quiz game, or check out the Minnesota Electricity kiosk to see how your electricity is generated and gets to your home via the power grid.

What else can you learn at the Energy Exhibit?

The State Fair Energy Exhibit is a partnership of state agencies, utilities, retailers and nonprofit groups. It is a strictly educational exhibit, so you won’t get a sales pitch when you visit.

The Eco Experience is one the largest environmental events of its kind in the country and is managed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Last year’s Eco Experience drew more than 250,000 visitors.

Minnesota Energy Tips is provided twice a month by the Minnesota Commerce Department's Division of Energy Resources. Contact the Commerce Department Energy Information Center at energy.info@state.mn.us or 800-657-3710 with energy questions.
