Task Force on No-Fault Auto Insurance Issues

Purpose

The 2015 Minnesota Legislature established, under the responsibility of the Minnesota Department of Commerce, the Task Force on No-Fault Auto Insurance Issues.

The Task Force is charged with reviewing and recommending changes to certain issues related to no-fault insurance reform. It is required to submit a report to the Legislature by February 1, 2016.

Specific Issues

The 2015 legislation asks the Task Force to review and evaluate three issues related to no-fault insurance reform:

  • The no-fault arbitration process;
  • The independent medical exam process; and
  • Treatment standards and fee schedules.
