Project Summary

Nobles 2 Power Partners, LLC is submitting an application for a large wind energy conversion system (LWECS) site permit to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) to construct and operate the planned 260 MW Nobles 2 Wind Project 11 miles north of Worthington in Nobles County. Nobles 2 has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Minnesota Power to provide renewable energy for its utility customers in northeastern Minnesota. Nobles 2 anticipates beginning construction in 3rd Qtr 2018, and commencing operations in 4th Qtr 2019.

The Project requires a Certificate of Need from the Commission before it can obtain a site permit. That process can be observed in eDocket IP6964/CN-16-289.
