The Minnesota Department of Commerce Energy Resources Division provides resources, assistance, research and analysis on wind energy. Commerce can help you with the steps involved to implement a wind project. 

Renewable sources, including wind, solar, hydropower, and biomass, generated the largest share of Minnesota’s electricity in 2021, accounting for 29% of total in-state electricity net generation. Renewable generation, mostly from wind energy, has almost doubled over the past decade. Map and project list

The map and project list includes operating, repowered, permitted, in process and expected wind facilities that are permitted through the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
