eHEAT
The Electronic Household Energy Automated Technology (eHEAT) is an online software system that helps EAP service providers and vendors manage data and streamline program functions. The system provides program and administrative services to helps:
- Streamline the payment process
- Share necessary customer information with partners
- Share information and reports regarding program activity and outcomes
- Prioritize the households most in need
- Improve analysis and planning capabilities
- Develop tools to measure the consistency and effectiveness of programs
Vendor Information
Vendors - energy vendors and mechanical contractors – use eHEAT primarily to receive payments, return refunds, and provide consumption information. They have access to the most current information about customers' EAP applications and payment amounts. To protect EAP applicant confidentiality, vendor access to eHEAT is limited to vendor-related activities.
EAP Service Providers take household applications, but Minnesota Management & Budget makes all EAP payments.
Vendors must register with EAP to use eHEAT by completing the energy vendor or mechanical contractor registration form and emailing it to eheat.doc@state.mn.us:
- Energy Vendor Registration for EAP Payment (Appendix 16G) (.doc)
- Mechanical Contractor Registration for EAP Payments (Appendix 17B) (.doc)
- Vendor Registration for Water Assistance Payments (Appendix 18B) (.doc)
In addition, vendors register with Minnesota Management & Budget to receive EAP payments. Vendors can receive payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)by completing the EFT Authorization Form on the Minnesota Management & Budget’s Vendor Forms page.
