2020 Health Insurance Proposed Rates

In accordance with Minn. Stat. §60A.08 Subd. 15(g) proposed rates for Minnesota’s individual and small group health insurance plans are publicly posted within ten business days after Minnesota’s rate filing deadline. Details on proposed rates filings are available through Minnesota’s SERFF Filing Access.  See the instructions tab for more information on how to search for these filings.

Insurers’ final, approved 2020 rates for Minnesota’s individual and small group health insurance plans are publicly available on October 2, 2019, as required by Minnesota law.

Rates for individual market health plans apply only to coverage that Minnesotans purchase for themselves. (Most Minnesotans receive coverage from employer-based insurance or public programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and MinnesotaCare.)

Rates for small group market health plans apply to coverage purchased by employers that have 2-50 full-time employees.

Details on rates by plan, age, tobacco use and geographic rating area are available through Minnesota’s SERFF Filing Access. See instructions below (Search for Filings).
