Shakira received her Bachelor of Arts degree and Paralegal Certificate from Hamline University in 2011. Since graduating she has worked in her church and local community to promote equity. She comes to the Council from a mental health clinic, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. She has 8 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in the private sector and has worked as the Council's Office Manager for the past year. She is proud of the work that she has done with the Council thus far and is looking forward to continuing to help move Minnesota towards a more equitable future.
