Assistant Attorney General Ayodele Famodu

Attorney General designee

Ayodele Famodu is the Assistant Attorney General for the Post-Conviction Justice Division in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office (AGO). In this role she will support the work of the Cannabis Expungement Board. Prior to starting this role with the AGO, she served as Assistant Attorney General for the Employment, Torts, Public Utilities Commission Division. Prior to joining the AGO, Ayodele served as Legal Counsel for the Minnesota Department of Human Rights enforcing the Consent Decree with the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Police Department. Ayodele has also previously served as an Assistant County Attorney for the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office prosecuting juvenile and adult felonies and overseeing the Youth Justice and Wellness Division. Ayodele’s legal career has also included defense work; she served as a public defender for Hennepin County, an attorney for the City of Chicago, and in the private sector as a defense attorney.

Ayodele is a retired US Army Reserve JAG Corps Officer, and she earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
