Jurisprudence and Dental Assistant Licensure Exams

Dental Assistant Licensure Exam Information

The Dental Assistant State Licensure Exam is changing Effective November 1, 2015. The Expanded Duties and Radiology Exams will be combined into one exam. For more information, please read the Dental Assistant State Licensure Exam Information document.

Jurisprudence Exam Information

You will need two documents to prepare for the Jurisprudence examination.
One document is the "Minnesota Laws and Rules Book." This book can be purchased through the Minnesota Bookstore at 660 Olive Street, St. Paul, MN 55155, via the Minnesota Bookstore website or via telephone at 651-297-3000 or 800-657-3757. This information can also be accessed on the Board website section regarding Statutes and Rules. You will need to study all documents listed under Board Statues and Rules and the first five documents listed under Board Related Regulations.
We also suggest that you familiarize yourself with the current CDC guidelines. These can be found on the CDC website.
All applicants for Minnesota dental licensure are tested on the same subject matter. The same exam is used with dental, dental therapy, dental hygiene and dental assistant applicants, so it is important that examinees study all of the statutes and rules, not just those that apply only to their particular profession.
