Lesa Covington-Clarkson

Board Vice Chair
A California native, Lesa and her family moved to Minnesota in January 1996. Dr. Covington Clarkson has been an educator since 2011. Currently she serves as an associate professor of mathematics education and as an associate director of the STEM Center at the University of Minnesota. Appointed by Governor Dayton to the Board of Teaching in 2011, she serves as the Higher Education representative. Dr. Lesa Covington Clarkson earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota, her masters from California State University, Los Angeles, and her BS from Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska.
