Advocates help people apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). A licensed assisted living facility provides sleeping accommodations and assisted living services including: * Assistance with dressing, eating, oral hygiene, hair care, grooming, using the bathroom and bathing * Providing standby assistance * Providing verbal or visual reminders to the resident to take regularly scheduled medication, which includes bringing the resident previously set up medication, medication in original containers, or liquid or food to accompany the medication * Providing verbal or visual reminders to the resident to perform regularly scheduled treatments and exercises * Preparing specialized diets ordered by a licensed health professional * Services of an advanced practice registered nurse, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, dietitian or nutritionist, or social worker *Tasks delegated to unlicensed personnel by a registered nurse or assigned by a licensed health professional within the person's scope of practice * Medication management services * Hands-on assistance with transfers and mobility * Treatment and therapies * Assisting the person with eating when they have complicated eating problems * Providing other complex or specialty health care services * Awake staff available 24/7 to respond to residents' health and safety needs The Uniform Disclosure of Assisted Living Services and Amenities (UDALSA) and the Assisted Living Bill of Rights is available to all current and perspective residents as required by MN Statute 144G. Family Assets for Independence in Minnesota (FAIM) is a 30-month program that helps working Minnesotans with low incomes increase their savings, build assets and enter the financial mainstream. By matching a participant's savings as well as providing financial literacy education, asset-specific training and ongoing financial coaching, families are supported and encouraged to acquire assets and increase their financial capability and economic security, in order to leave poverty permanently. Those enrolled in FAIM receive a program match at a rate of $3 to every dollar of earned income deposited into their Individual Development Account (IDA) within 2 years, up to a maximum of $2,000 per household. Account holders may be eligible for a matched payout and their savings of up to $8,000 toward their chosen asset upon successful completion of program requirements. Savings and matches may be used for: First-time home purchase, post-secondary education, emergency savings, 529 college savings, purchase of a personal vehicle or a small business start-up or expansion. Participants are required to complete a minimum enrollment period, financial education classes/coaching, as well as asset-specific training and requirements before requesting payout toward obtaining their chosen asset. FAIM payment is made to a third-party vendor, not the participant.

Providers with a basic home care license are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health. These providers can assist with most activities of daily living, in a person's home. Basic home care licensed providers may be individuals or organizations and are trained to assist people who, because of an illness, disability, or physical condition, cannot perform the tasks for themselves. This type of service does not require a nurse. Staff of the licensed basic provider may: * Assist with dressing, eating, grooming, toileting and bathing; * Provide standby assistance for safety; * Provide verbal or visual reminders to take regularly scheduled medication; * Provide verbal or visual reminders for treatments and exercises; * Prepare modified diets ordered by a licensed health professional; and * Assist with laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, or other household chores if also providing one of the other tasks listed above The workers performing the tasks may be individually licensed or unlicensed. Licensed agencies are responsible for providing additional training for their workers as required by home care laws.

Mental Health Clinics provide outpatient mental health services for individuals with mental or emotional disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Services include: * Intake and case assignment * Mental health evaluation including assessment and diagnostic process * Treatment planning * Counseling services, consultation and individual therapy case review * Access to emergency service * Access to hospital admission Some providers also provide rehabilitative mental health services, and some may also provide services to persons with developmental disabilities, alcoholism or substance abuse. Mental Health Clinics also provide educational, informational, and preventive services to the community. The mental health team includes: * Licensed physician who has completed an approved residency program in psychiatry * Doctoral clinical, counseling, or health care psychologist * Clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university or clinical psychiatric nurse with a master's degree
