A six week class for family caregivers. Topics include self-care, reducing stress, communicating with others, learning from emotions and making tough decisions.
A class series that supports caregivers in taking care of yourself while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver.
Six classes held once a week are led by experienced class leaders. Class participants are given The Caregiver Helpbook to accompany the class and provide additional caregiver resources.
Focuses on improving self-care by learning a new set of skills or "tools."
Topics include:
* Reduce stress
* Improve self-confidence
* Manage time, set goals, and solve problems
* Communicate in challenging situations
* Make tough decisions
* Locate helpful resources

Information, guidance and support for family and other informal caregivers, typically through in-person meetings, over the phone or using online communications.
MORE INFORMATION
Provides education seminars for caregiver seniors and family members. These coffee breaks include estate planning, Alzheimer's and self-care.
Work with seniors and families to discuss their needs. A care plan is designed for each senior that may include a variety of volunteer support or professional referral services.
* A Home Safety Assessment is also completed at intake.
