Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing Services
Provides Information and services to those who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing, and their families.
Regional offices across Minnesota provide services for people with hearing loss. This includes those who are deaf, deafblind, hard of hearing, or late deafened.
Services include:
* Assistive technology information, evaluation and hands-on practice sessions
* Deafblind services, helping people gain communication skills and stay active in their communities
* Training for interpreters and support persons
* State-wide American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter referrals

Low Cost Phone or Internet Service - Lifeline
Federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service
Lifeline is a federal program dedicated to making home and mobile phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households. This benefit provides eligible consumers with a monthly discount of up to $9.25. Consumers living on Tribal lands are eligible for an enhanced discount of up to $34.25 per month.

Telephone Discount Programs
Minnesota's Telephone Assistance Plan (TAP) and Federal Lifeline provide monthly discounts on telephone and internet bills.
The state Telephone Assistance Plan (TAP) program offers monthly discounts on landline telephone, cell phone service, or broadband internet service.
TAP provides a $10 monthly bill credit for landline home telephones.
The federal Lifeline program provides a discount of up to $9.25 monthly for landline telephone service, cell phone service, or broadband internet service. There is an additional $25 Lifeline credit offered to a person living on Tribal lands or reservations.
