Adult Residential Mental Health Crisis Stabilization Service

Eligibility
Recipients must:
  • Need residential crisis stabilization services to avoid hospitalization and return to pre-crisis level of function
  • Be assessed by a mental health crisis team, an Emergency Department physician or a mental health professional and determined to need this level of care
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Persons can be self-referred or referred by family or other agencies. Serves persons living in west central Minnesota

Kandiyohi County CCBHC services available in Big Stone, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Meeker, Renville and Swift counties

Crisis stabilization services are mental health services, provided after crisis intervention, to help the recipient return to his/her functioning to the level it was before the crisis. A crisis assessment and intervention treatment plan are provided to the individual upon arrival at the residential crisis stabilization facility. Length of stay ranges anywhere from 1 - 10 days. MORE INFORMATION Provides a supportive environment for adults who are in a mental health crisis in their lives.

  • Clients meet with a mental health professional and are taught skills to assist them with issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal thinking, and relationship problems
  • Length of stay ranges from 1-10 days
