Program where staff or volunteers interact with people who live on the street, build relationships, try to identify immediate needs and provide information about longer-term support services. MORE INFORMATION Outreach Staff work with people who are living on the street, in the woods, or in other places unfit for human habitation. Most are experiencing long-term or chronic homelessness (defined by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as homeless with a disability). Staff help homeless people meet their basic needs, stabilize their housing and reduce their contact with the police.
